A Hands-On WSO2 Partner
WSO2 gives you open-source API management, integration, and identity in one family of products. Teams pick it because they stay in control: run it on your own servers, on Kubernetes in any cloud or as SaaS, and read the source when something behaves oddly.
As a trusted WSO2 partner, Tellestia has delivered WSO2 for banks, insurers, telecoms, hospitals, and universities. Some clients come to us while they’re still decising on WSO2. Others have run it for years and need more developers, a tricky upgrade done properly, or someone to answer the phone at 3 am.

WSO2 Consulting FAQs
Is WSO2 really open source?
Yes. API Manager, WSO2 Integrator and Identity Server are Apache 2.0 licensed, and you can download and run them for free. The catch is updates: tested patches and security fixes come with a paid WSO2 subscription, which is why most production users buy one. We can help you decide whether you need it, and at what size.
How much does WSO2 cost?
Think of it in two parts. The WSO2 subscription is priced on usage: APIs, transactions or compute for API and integration products, and number of users for Identity Server. Then there’s the implementation and support work, which depends on scope. After a short discovery call we can give you a realistic range for both.
WSO2 or MuleSoft: which should we choose?
It depends on how you want to operate. WSO2 tends to suit teams that want open-source code, freedom to deploy anywhere and a lower subscription bill. MuleSoft appeals to teams that prefer a more packaged commercial platform. We deliver both.
What happened to WSO2 ESB and Enterprise Integrator?
They evolved. The ESB became Enterprise Integrator, which was then replaced by Micro Integrator, a lighter runtime made for containers. Micro Integrator now sits inside WSO2 Integrator, alongside a Ballerina-based low-code designer and streaming integration. Most existing Synapse configurations carry over.
Can WSO2 run on Kubernetes or in the cloud?
Yes. We run WSO2 on plain VMs, Kubernetes and OpenShift, on-premise or in AWS, Azure and Google Cloud. WSO2 also offers SaaS versions: Bijira for API management, Devant for integration and Asgardeo for identity.
Can you support a WSO2 setup you didn’t build?
Most of our support clients came to us that way. We start by reviewing the environment, documenting what’s there and fixing the obvious risks. Then we take over day-to-day support.
Do we keep our WSO2 subscription if we work with you?
Yes. Your subscription stays with WSO2, and so does product support. We handle development and operations, and when something turns out to be a product bug, we raise it with WSO2 and chase it for you.
