Which EDI standards and protocols does Boomi support?
Boomi supports X12, EDIFACT, TRADACOMS, HL7 and FHIR. For connectivity it supports AS2, FTP and SFTP, MLLP and web services, and it can work alongside VAN and MFT providers when a partner requires them.
Can Boomi replace our EDI VAN?
Often, yes. Many partners accept AS2 or SFTP connections, which removes per-transaction VAN charges. Some partners still require a VAN, so most companies run a mix. Tellestia reviews your partner list and shows where direct connections make sense.
