Get More From Boomi Atomsphere with Tellestia
Boomi Atomsphere, now called the Boomi Enterprise Platform, is where your applications, data and trading partners meet. It connects cloud and on-premise systems, automates the processes between them and gives you one place to monitor everything that moves.
Buying the platform is the easy part. Getting real value from it depends on how well your integrations are designed: how errors are handled, where runtimes sit, and how changes move safely from test to production. That is where Tellestia comes in. Our Boomi experts plan, build and support AtomSphere environments that stay fast and easy to change as your business grows.

FAQ section: Boomi AtomSphere Questions, Answered
What is Boomi AtomSphere called now?
Boomi renamed AtomSphere the Boomi Enterprise Platform. The runtime terms changed too:
- An Atom is now a runtime.
- A Molecule is now a runtime cluster.
- An Atom Cloud is now a runtime cloud.
Only the names changed. Existing processes, connections and deployments keep running, and you don’t need to migrate anything.
What is the difference between an Atom, a Molecule and an Atom Cloud?
All three are ways of running Boomi processes:
- An Atom (now a basic runtime) runs on a single server. It suits lower volumes and simpler setups.
- A Molecule (now a runtime cluster) spreads work across several servers for high availability and higher throughput.
- An Atom Cloud (now a runtime cloud) is hosted by Boomi, or privately by you, and runs integrations for several accounts or environments.
We help you choose the right mix for your security, volume and latency needs.
What does a Boomi AtomSphere implementation include?
A typical implementation covers:
- Architecture and runtime design
- Environment setup for development, test and production
- Connector configuration
- Process development and data mapping
- Error handling and alerting
- Testing
- Deployment and handover
We also set naming, versioning and deployment standards, so your team can maintain and extend the platform after go-live.
Which applications can Boomi AtomSphere connect?
Boomi offers prebuilt connectors for common enterprise systems, including:
- Salesforce
- SAP
- NetSuite
- Microsoft Dynamics
- Workday
- Shopify
- Databases and FTP
For other systems, Boomi can connect through generic HTTP, SOAP and database connectors. Boomi’s Connector SDK lets teams build custom connectors for anything else.
Is Boomi AtomSphere secure enough for regulated industries?
Boomi holds major security and compliance certifications, including SOC 2, ISO and HIPAA, and offers FedRAMP authorisation for US government workloads. If data has to stay inside your network, you can run runtimes on your own infrastructure, so data is processed behind your firewall while design and monitoring stay in the cloud.
Can Boomi AtomSphere replace our existing ESB or legacy middleware?
Yes. Many organisations move to AtomSphere from BizTalk, MuleSoft, TIBCO, IBM Integration Bus or Oracle SOA Suite. We start by listing and simplifying your current interfaces, then rebuild them in planned waves and run old and new systems in parallel before switching over.
What is an iPaaS maturity assessment, and what do we get from it?
It is a structured review of your current integrations, tools, governance and team skills. You receive a written report covering three things:
- Where your integration landscape stands today
- The quick wins available now
- A phased Boomi roadmap with priorities and effort estimates
