Question 1: Where Do Your Valuable Processes Actually Run?

This is the clearest test in the comparison and it takes about an hour.

List your ten highest-value automation candidates. For each one, count how many of the systems involved are Microsoft and how many are not.

If the answer is mostly Microsoft, Power Automate is the natural fit and the ecosystem advantage is real. Identity, security policy, administration, and user familiarity all come along with it, and that reduction in organizational friction is consistently undervalued in comparison articles.

If the answer is six vendors and four departments, you need an automation layer that belongs to none of them.
